Suspended opaque facade

Principles

  • Facade decoration, fitted or cladding with or without external insulation, for new buildings and renovation, for ground or upper floors.
  • Fiberstone fibre total thickness 12 mm, granite only, long strips 600 mm high, covering the facade with light, shock-resistant panels.
  • Fiberstone hc, total thickness 20 or 25 mm, enables extremely large panels to be used on a light framework, giving the facade an exceptional, almost seamless appearance.

Fitting

PRODUCT Fiberstone fiber system P CLIP :

  • The panels are fitted progressively in horizontal strips.
  • The 12 mm Fiberstone fibre panels are grooved lengthwise in the factory.
  • A primary vertical framework (wood or aluminium) with maximum 1200 mm intervals is fitted to the facade and adjusted using adjustable brackets.
  • External insulation is fitted if necessary.
  • The first horizontal rail is fitted at the base, on the vertical framework.
  • Hangers are fitted every 50 to 60 mm in the top and bottom grooves of the panels.
  • Panels are fitted into the lower rail and temporarily pressed down.
  • The upper rail is offered up to the rear of the aligned panels and lowered onto the upper hangers. The resulting assembly can then be bolted to the supporting wall or the primary vertical framework if external insulation is used.
  • The operations above are repeated until the facade is complete.
  • The nominal minimum horizontal seal is 5.5 mm.
  • The nominal vertical seal may be as little as 2 mm.
  • Fiberstone is available to give advice, draw up fitting instructions and conduct studies for special applications.
  • Fire resistance : M1

PRODUCT Fiberstone hc system 004 :

  • Fiberstone hc panels are factory fitted with invisible inserts sealed into the honeycomb, enabling hidden aluminium hangers to be used.
  • A primary vertical framework (wood or aluminium) with maximum 1200 mm intervals is fitted to the facade and adjusted using adjustable brackets.
  • External insulation is fitted if necessary.
  • The horizontal rails are fitted to match the layout.
  • Aluminium hangers are bolted to the inserts in the rear of the panels. Two adjustable hangers are fitted towards the top to allow the panels to be set horizontal and the joint gap to be adjusted (5 mm minimum)
  • The panels are fitted and adjusted.
  • A joint support is fitted.
  • Joints are filled with neutral silicone for stone (e.g. Dow Corning DC 897).
